<aside> 💡 Welcome! This guide will help you with setting up your bot. If you have any enquiries about this, please make a ticket in the Support Server!‌

Hey! Thank you for choosing to use Koal’s services for your group/server. We’re excited to have you within our community/family. Be sure to use this guide to ensure you’re able to understand the procedure for creating a Koal Custom Bot.

Firstly, we advise you to create a bot/application on the Discord Developer Portal. Once you have logged in to your Discord account, you should see a page that looks like this:

Now… you see! It says you have no applications, which means you have no bot?! Click “New Application”, to create your application. Afterwards, you’ll be prompted to enter the username of your Bot. Now you should have an application! Your page should look something like this:

Once you are on this page, you may upload a picture for your application. This is called an “App Icon”. This will not be the official profile picture for your Koal Bot, this is to ensure you can recognise your application from the dashboard (if you create others). Now, we want you to press “Bot” on this side tab labelled “Settings”.

Once you have reached the bot page, you want to press the “Create A Bot” button as shown below, name it whatever you want, and then press continue.

You are to scroll down and enable "Server Members Intent". This is critical to how our Bots can welcome users, etc. After that, you will need to copy the Bot's token by clicking "Copy" which is highlighted in the red box.

Website Steps

Firstly, you will need to log into our dashboard which is https://koal.us/dashboard. After you have logged in, you should see this:

If you do, brilliant! You will need to click “Bots Dashboard” and then click “Create. You should see three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Enterprise. Silver and Gold, you can create on the website. But for Enterprise, you must contact us via our Discord Server.

After you have selected what tier you would like, you should see something like this:
